This is a good one - I really need to share this store with you! It's too good to keep to myself!

A good buddy of mine has a nutrition store here in Atlanta and the other day I went there to buy some protein powder. He showed me a few new products he just received. I love looking around his store to see what's new on the market. I'm like a kid in a candy store!

We are in the middle of a conversation when a women, around 24-35 years old, came in and started to look around the store. My friend goes over and asks her if he can help, and she said 'I'm looking for a fat burner. Do you have something new? I've tried a few of them and they don't work. I really need to lose weight!'

When I looked at her, do you know what she held in her hand? A chocolate bar. Now why do you think none of the fat burners she used worked? You don't have to be a genius for that. My friend looked at her and said 'you shouldn't eat that if you really want to lose some weight! She started to laugh and just kept on talking like nothing happen.

After a few minutes of chatting with her we discovered this woman wanted to lose some weight but the problem is she doesn't exercise, eats only 2 big meals a day, and uses fat burners to lose weight. I don't understand why shed can't lose weight....(I'm just kidding!!)

My question is how many of you run into this mentality when dealing with clients or friends trying to take shortcuts to lose or gain weight?

Nutrition is the #1 reason people get - or don't get - results!

Yes when I was a sales associate at GNC I ran into people who asked those same questions about our products. They were looking for a quick fix but it takes hard work both from mind and body . I believe eating natural foods and using these as supplements as they are advertised should be the focus.What are theory long term and short term goals as far as losing the weight should be one of the things to consider as well
I think this statement applies to just about all supplements. I personally use food, fish oil, and whey protein when I can afford it, being a poor college student. People at my school's gym come up to me at least once a week asking about protein powders, creating, and other supplements to help them build muscle or burn fat. When I ask them what their diet is like they typically give me a blank look. They all seem suprised when I tell them that drinking a muscle milk shake will not help them magically build muscle if they are on a diet of pizza and tater tots.
LOL this was funny. Completely ignorant people can't get fit anyways, right. Too bad for them.
People are really nuts Marcos when it comes to this fat burner stuff. They are always looking for some quick fix. lol
Sam - Very well said! Ignorance never ever amazes me. See and hear the best of them give advice about why come their not in shape yet. Biggest thing besides the ignorance is that everyone is trying to take shortcuts.
