Real Entertainment Athletes Leaders

Ok...who watched the E! True Hollywood Story on Female Bodybuilders last night?? I know that we did and it wasn't really that bad. They didn't try to hide the fact that most female bodybuilders (and you know who I mean) use steroids to achieve that ultimate physique. The first Ms. Olympia, Rachel Mclish, also weighed in with her thoughts including stating that bodybuilding has too much going for it to be ruined by steroids. I think we need to get in touch with her ;) They also highlighted some natural competitors as well making it an interesting hour of television.

MUSCLE WORSHIP

One segment of the show is a topic that ALWAYS makes my brain do backflips. That is the topic of "Muscle Worship". I learned what this topic was 2 years ago and my jaw hit the floor. For those of you who don't know what that is, "worshippers" follow these bodybuilders, male and female, like they are celebrities and pretty much..worship them. They are fascinated with their physiques, strength, power, muscles etc etc They will pay anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars for your “time”. Depending on the bodybuilder, they will let you touch their muscles, wrestle around with you, let you watch them pose in their posing suits and…more. As I am a lady, I will not even discuss what that is, but it was enough to make me physically ill. Women and men, men and men, groups of men and so forth and so on.

On the show, this guy flew from New Zealand to meet his “Goddess”, watch her pose in her posing suits, wrestle with her and playfully touch and flirt with her…in her bedroom. As it was televised, I’m sure it could’ve gone further but didn’t. Closer to home, people attempt to worship Jason and it gets to the point of stalking. It doesn’t matter when he says, “no, I’m not into that” or just ignores the requests. These people are relentless.

There are SO many things that I find wrong about this! First of all, if someone is the type of person to want to worship you, you’re going to let them into your house and your bedroom??? You’re going to let them touch you and do other things for money??? What I’ve learned that it is mostly those who “use” that partake in this kind of activity. It usually pays for their drugs. Sorry, but it's true. As a spectator at one of those shows, take a look around. A lot of those people on stage are worshipped. And the odds that at least one of those judges is a worshipper is pretty high as well. That gives "politics as usual" a whole different meaning!

As I don’t see how or why this would offend anyone, I apologize if it does. This topic is so out there to me and the fact that it is so common is absolutely outrageous. I bring these topics up to raise awareness and to get your thoughts. As I said, I had no clue it existed until a couple of years ago and I was like, “WHOA”!

Please note that I'm not saying that ALL bodybuilders who use are worshipped. I am stating that for the most part, those who ARE worshipped are the athletes who use.

So, what I want to know is: How many of you have ever heard of this??? What are your thoughts??

Yes ~ I've heard of it! We live in a society whereby people become groupies or for a better word "delusional". Everyone wants to look good but at the same time take shortcuts and worship people that actually do take shortcuts. For the folks that don't, their overlooked for the quick-fix-it groupies. One has to stay true to herself/himself and not get caught up.
I get regular emails from folks who are into this kind of stuff too. A couple have even asked me to be a dominatrix!! Kinda makes me wonder what kind of vibe I give off LOL
The words "creeped out" are inadequate to describe how I feel right now! I was unaware of such thing, but when you really think about it, are you REALLY that shocked? I mean, people have fetishes. It's weird but who am I to judge if both parties concent?

People do some funky stuff for money and I guess this sort of behavior isn't exempt. If you think about it...it's not much different then strippers.
lol i see that point of view, however, when it comes to a contest and one of the competitors wins because the judge is one of his worshippers, that's an issue. It happens A LOT. When I heard that male competitors are sometimes "gay for pay", I wanted to throw up. If "worshipping" is something that people do, you're right..who am i to judge? but when that spills over into competition, I have an issue with it.

But..still..creepy lol
I watched it too- for me it's neither appropriate nor acceptable- both ways, for worshippers or athletes. It's like a prostitution. Worshipping people is not really for people with common sense or faith in God. You can admire some people for their success or for inspiration. My reply might be harsh to someone, but again we are all different, and tastes differ.
