Why do so many athletes down a caffeinated drink before training? You'll get a variety of different answers in the gym, but the science behind this practice is rock solid. A study undertaken at the University of Illinois and published in the International Journal of Sports Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism found that caffeine helps dull the perception of pain. This makes you think the training is easier, so the blunted pain sensation allows you to exercise harder.

The REAL Thought: Caffeine has become so popular with performance athletes that the International Olympic Committee removed it from their list of banned substances. If it's good enough for world record holders, it's worth putting to the test with your training routine. Tip: Couple your caffeine with some serious N.O. activation and see how it pumps up your workout.

Bro, Vassive has a great taste...much more smooth than the others! But adding flavor...you're going weak on me!?!?! LOL I add Emergen-C to mine ;)
Holla
I just think how much bigger than Chris I'll be....
Hopefully it's MY YouTube promo...LOL! had to put a shameless plug in for it ;)
lol Thanks, I made the promo and picked the music. It's not really Jason's type of music so I put my own on there haha It pumped me up so I went with it lol
I use NO Shotgun or Uplift for a preworkout drink. I think caffeine can definitely increase your workout energy and can help you push that extra rep or set.
I would recommend taking Vassive NO and combining it with Threshold. Make sure you get flavors that will work well together, I mix the Vassive NO fruit punch and mix it with the Threshold fruit fusion. The Vassive NO will help with the energy and pump. The Threshold will help you with the lactic acid buildup. The combination of both equals a great work out.
I don't use pre workout drinks just straight protein shake. when i workout my body wakes up 10 minutes into my workout so i just keep siking my self throught my whole workout session and think about my goal, family to keep me going everyday.
In preparing my pre-workout drink, I focus on the following:
1. Increasing insulin - Using fast digesting carbs to fuel workout
I focus on carbs with high molecular weight and low osmolality to increase absorption and prevent stomach problems. These carbs also help shuttle the rest of the ingredients quicker.
2. Increase protein synthesis - Using fast absorbing protein to create an anabolic state
I focus on hydrolyzed protein to max. absorption and prevent stomach prob
3. Further increase protein synthsis - Using BCAA's (metabilized in the muscle) and other aminos
BCAAs are used directly by the muscle. One of BCAAs, leucine, has been shown to activate the mTor pathway (creating an anabolic state)
4. Stimulants - Caffeine
Shown time and time again to improve overall performance
5. NO Supplement
Optional for me
I LOOOOOOVE YOU CAFFEINE :)
GREAT STUFF YOU GUYS & GOOD ADVICE TO ALL JASON!! THANKS FOR YOU NEVERENDING HELP. BLESSINGS, DAVE.
I would love to try some Vassive NO, but I can't find it anywhere...
