All the ads are borderline pornographic. What does that say about the brand, your thoughts?

Don't even get me started! LOL... It's very sad. Not only the format of the marketing they use, but the products themselves. I use supplements, don't get me wrong. There are some great, natural supplements out there. But there are a lot of useless supplements designed just to get your money and worse, how they try to play things like pro-hormones off as benign.
Agreed, I found that the companies that use the least amount of advertising to be the best. It's funny if you think about it. They spend millions on trying to get us to buy thier products than actually making the products safe and effective.
Bingo... The saddest thing is most people don't even spend the time to learn what they do. They just buy the hype, hook, line, and sinker only to find themselves with significant health issues down the road. Of course, having the FDA involved would be a double edged sword. Ayyay yay
FDA = Feeding Death to America
LOL...
lol I actually used to work for a company who uses those kinds of ads and honestly it is very unclassy. In this day and age, people feed into the whole idea that "sex" sells. To me, that tells me your brand doesn't stand sturdily enough on its own to be successful. To resort to that type of advertising seems to be a quick, easy way to relatively instant success. Fitness models are a dime a dozen these days so if one model won't do what the company wants, you know someone else will. Sad, but true.

I'm all for companies like Optimum. They are the top supplement company in the world...and they are very professional and conservative. High 5!
"Sex Sells" is definitely right. I can just see the marketing people all together figuring out how to make an ad. Just put some flashy bottle with a hot girl next to with with a ripped guy and it just sold 10,000 bottles!
I hear you on this, Joe! It's one of the MAIN reasons I stopped reading the muscle magazines out there...I almost felt uncomfortable thinkning to myself that I was afraid to turnthe page at times while on cardio...wondering what nonsense was on the next page.
Luckily, ther are high quality supplement companies out there like Optimum Nutrition. Sound, high quality ad campaigns that don't flash TandA!
aha I agree with the whole magazine thing. Gotta look around to see who's near by before you turn the page.
