Hi all... Thanks so much for your passages around fitness! I decided to start a thread to keep them all in one place so we can refer back when we need a little lift!

David --- Here's Romans 12:1-2 in the new international version --- pretty powerful with the second verse as well! Thanks for the quote!

1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual[a] act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Here's one that I know refers to our faith in God, but it can also be applied to having faith in achieving our fitness goals.

"Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1)

Proverbs 3:3-8

3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.

in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart

Proverbs are my favorite! I started with Proverbs when I first time read the Bible, great sourse of everyday wisdom.

One of my favorite verses was already quoted by Steve
Proverbs 3:5

5 Trust in the lord with all your heart
and lean not to your own understanding

Because a lot of times we think we know everything and we nothing but God knows all things before they even happen. Man will let you down but God never turns his back on his children.
