Here am I... Send me!

Funny how we can do some of our best thinking in the shower! 

In April, my pastor delivered a sermon that talked about faith, and how it rarely comes in a loud roar changing your life overnight.  But rather, there comes a day when you simply accept the faith of someone else, often your parents.  But then it has to grow.  At first, it's still your "parents religion", but you're willing to identify with it.  Gradually, it begins to fill you until one day it becomes "yours", and you begin hearing with new ears and seeing with new eyes.  It's like God "gives us His eyes so we can see it."  And yet it still grows and fills you until one day you're overflowing with love and an impulse to live the gospel.

In November, Jason Powell posted some profound words he had heard once about faith:  "Stop asking Him 'why' and be strong enough to ask 'what's next'". The first week of January, Garrett Tyra posted a link to a sermon, one that moved him, Maria (his wife), and I to tears when it was delivered at our church by a guest speaker, one that overcame a speech impediment and dyslexia to live the life of a missionary; that is, "a willing witness with a heartbeat of obedience."

Well, it's funny sometimes how God just keeps speaking to you on a single point, as if you're yelling for Him to "Fix it".  Rarely it seems does he do it in loud thunder; but a small voice that is there, softly whispering, yearning for you to hear it.

Last week, Joe Harris posted an incredible video on his profile, one that I hesitate to mention it's message, lest ruin the profound impact it has if you haven't seen it yet.  Let's just say it seems to yet be another whisper from God.

What's the point?  God's been whispering.  BIG TIME... And today I connected the dots in the shower.  If you can find 50 minutes, you owe it to yourself to mute the TV, put the cell phone on silent, and take the videos below in!
