A GUIDE FOR NEW COMPETITORS
Congratulations on making the decision to be a competitor! It can be one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of your life!
To assist you in starting the process of competing, here are some helpful things for you to know.
PICK YOUR CATEGORY
Knowing what category you want to compete in is crucial as all of them have different criteria. We have physique categories, modeling categories, transformation challenges and obstacle course challenges
Your prep for your category will be very specific so it is best to know where you're headed so you can create your map for success!

Register
Registering early has many benefits. It keeps you accountable and also helps with your planning process. The earlier you register, the more prizes the promoter can offer and the bigger the event can be.
Registration fees vary depending on the category
Bodybuilding, Figure, Muscle Model, Fitness Model and REAL Beauty: Early Bird -$95 for your first category, $55 for second (optional); Day of event $120 for first category; $75 for second
REAL Deal: $60 early bird; $75 day of event
Transformation Challenge: No entry fee, but you must have a REAL World Tour Membership
*All competitors must have a REAL World Tour Membership. This can be paid when you register for your event.
Accommodations, Travel
If you are coming in from out of town, be sure to book your travel early. REAL makes every effort to provide a host hotel in order to provide our competitors cheap room rates
Services
Tanning - Every competitor besides Transformation Challenge, REAL Deal and REAL Beauty require a competition tan. A competition tan is a sprayed on tan specifically made to endure the hot competition lights. REAL is partnered with Liquid Sun Rayz (www.liquidsunrayz.com) to provide our competitors with a great service at great prices.
Photography - There will be many photographers onsite. They will require a press pass so be aware of who the credible professionals are. REAL will provide a photographer to take backstage and onstage photos which will be available for purchase.
Depending on the photographer, you may be able to pre-purchase photography packages
Nspiration Camp
All novice competitors and new competitors to REAL are required to attend a camp to learn about REAL, what we look for and get help from the REAL team to help polish your onstage performance.
Camps that are eligible to fulfill this requirement are Nspiration Camps and Mini camps.
*Competitors NOT required to attend camp are:
REAL Deal and Transformation Challenge competitors
Suits, Outfits, Props etc
Depending on your category, you will need different clothing.
REAL Beauty: 2 piece bikini and a floor length dress
Fitness Model: (Women) 2 piece bikini, Themewear
(Men) swimwear (any style, but we prefer to see your physique),
Themewear
Muscle Model: Swimwear and Themewear
Figure: Traditional 2-piece figure suit
Bodybuilding: Posing trunks, routine (whatever you decide to wear
to accommodate your theme)
REAL Deal: Black shorts, sneakers (we will provide your shirts, sports bras for women if you prefer)
Transformation Challenge: Semi-casual outfit to wear onstage
*ALL competitors except REAL Deal need to bring black shorts, pants etc to wear during the athlete Meet and Greet
*Women: onstage, you are to wear clear heels
