I like both, in fact I do both on leg day sometimes. You can go heavier on back squats and full squats bring the hams and especially the glutes into play. Front squats switch the emphasis more onto the quads and both are staples in my leg training.

Front squats require good technique and are used by Olympic lifters. Keep the back straight and dont lean forward. I prefer back squats because I can lift more and they are more comfortable and allow me to lift more.

How does smoking a cigarette affect my growth?

If I had a nickle for every time I was asked this question in the gym I would have....well a heavy enough bag of nickels to curl with. Now I try to live a clean and healthy lifestyle. I myself do not smoke. I workout, eat clean and activities with the kids vary from bike riding, hiking or playing ball. I've done tons of nutrition, exercise and other "health" research, and I get a lot of tips and suggestions from trainers, friends, etc. However, the answer to this question continues to elude me.…See More

What is your REAL story? Do you compete? Do you wish to compete? Are you on a transformation journey? Website??
I am a recreational lifter who enjoys staying healthy and transforming my body to look my best through diet and working out.
Philosophies and Beliefs:
I believe you have to enjoy working out in order to be successful just as in anything else. If you don't look forward to hitting the weight, track, etc., then you probably shouldn't be wasting your time. Set goals and want it with all you got!
Words of Advice to REAL competitors and those on REAL transformation journeys:
The key is setting a regimen that will not only work for you personally, but will also be enjoyable for you to keep you into it. Set goals, set goals, and set goals and have fun. Without a destination, the journey makes no sense.
What are your favorite supplements and why?
I enjoy supplementing with protein because I don't have the stomach to ingest my daily protein goal on just food alone. Creatine, aminos and a carb supplement are also in my cabinet. I also like supplementing with prohormones maybe twice a year because I love seeing how quickly my strength develops.
Who do you look up to in the fitness industry?
All the big names.....Jay, Ronnie, Flex, etc., but also the women because they are the BOMB!!!!
