Profile Information

What is your REAL story? Do you compete? Do you wish to compete? Are you on a transformation journey? Website??
What started as a transformation journey (188 lbs, over 18% body fat) has turned into a dream to transform my body. I have finally competed in my first competition, and have taken 2nd place in my weight class. After some review, I know exactly what I need to do to win next year. I am never satisfied... I always strive to be the best in what I do. I leave it all out on the gym floor every time. If you do that, nobody can take anything away from you.
Philosophies and Beliefs:
Firm believer of perfect form, that every rep counts, and the pump ... I always strive for the pump. Just like Arnold said, "its like I'm cumming all the time". I also have always been a believer that hard work and diligence will always be rewarded.
Words of Advice to REAL competitors and those on REAL transformation journeys:
Do not compromise your morals and values. Its more than just looking good - its about the challenge, the pain. It takes so much mental focus and physical relentlessness. It is about breaking boundries and strengthening both body and character. It is a real test of what you are made of.
What are your favorite supplements and why?
I love Muscle Milk because of the taste, but I find whey isolate to have the most positive effects (I find I gain more muscle and recover fast when I am consistent with my protein).

Right now I am taking coffee for my pre-workout, but I am also a proponent of NOXplode. I love to mix with green tea and ice - adds more flavor and boosts your metabolism like crazy!

Lastly, I recommend BCAA's. I take Optimum Amino 2222 gel caps. Again, I find myself recovering faster when I take them consistently (does you no good when you take them every once in a while).

And when it comes to protein bars, my favorites when I am cutting include "ThinkThin" - chocolate brownie crunch, supreme protein, and powerbars (reduced sugar, peanut butter). When I am looking to make gains you have to try cliff builders (made by cliff bar). You cannot go wrong with this one.
Who do you look up to in the fitness industry?
I am old school - I idolize Frank Zane, Serge Nubret, Arnold, and Franco

Day 6 and 7, rest & cardio

November 6th and 7th, 2009

I took some rest days here from the weights. I run a lot at my part-time job (valet), and its a lot of sprints, running up stairs, running up incline, so I didn't really feel the need to catalog this. I kept my diet clean, but with a much lower calorie and carb count compared to my first five days. Tomorrow, I will hit the weights in the morning really hard, and kick up the calories again.

8:00am - coffee



8:30am - workout - consumed 4 rice cakes, 2 scoops of protein, 2 servings of ON CGT-10 while training (it was long workout, woke up late and wanted to get to the gym asap!).



11:00am - 8 egg whites, 1 cup oatmeal, 1 banana



2:00pm - tuna sandwhich



5:00 - Sloppy Joes!!! (my own recipe contain whole wheat buns, lean ground beef, and some other secrets).

Yeah, I know I did chest on Monday but I am really trying to focus on that upper and inner chest, so the more attention I give it the more it will grow. Plus, my chest was itch'n to push some massive weight today!



Diet:

6:30am - Cliff Builders Bar, cup of coffee, 1 Rice Cake



7:45am - workout (see below), during workout consumed 2 rice cakes, 25g whey isolate



9:00am - 8 egg whites mixed with 1 cup oatmeal, 1 banana, 25g whey isolate



12:00pm - egg(4 whites), turkey bacon (2 slices), and whole grain english muffin sandwhich with 2 scoops On Nitro Core ptn shake



2:30 - 2 lumberg rice cakes with almond butter
