I am now doing the ISSA and I am learning a tonne. They have a terrific support system as well, so I'm happy with that for now. I will continue to look into more…

There are many great certifications out there...way too many to keep up with. Even some of the local ones challenge the two I mentioned. Just keep striving for more, Andrew. The goal is to influence and change peoples' lives!

This may be too late ;) but I have found ACSM and NFPT to be two of the better certs. From an educational standpoint, those folks from those certs have been the most prepared coming through the graduate programs.

All depends on what you plan on doing with the certification. If you plan on working at a gym until you build up a client list check and see what they accept. I know some places around my home area will not even accept some if you plan on working…

- What is your REAL story? Do you compete? Do you wish to compete? Are you on a transformation journey? Website??
- I started competing last year for the first time and absolutely loved it. I was competing at the novice level, and finished in the top three each time. As a result I was inspired to continue my training for the upcoming 2010 competition season. I plan to be better than ever this year and give them my best on the stage!
- Philosophies and Beliefs:
- If you don't take risks you will never discover what you are truly capable of. You will only remain who you are, doing what you're doing, in the same place with the same people. THAT is not LIVING!
- Words of Advice to REAL competitors and those on REAL transformation journeys:
- Failure is really just a small step in your journey to success.
Train until it hurts, then add 10 and do another set!!
Diet is crucial!
- What are your favorite supplements and why?
- Currently I am using Optimum Whey Protein and I love it! It doesn't have the grainy texture that so many proteins have, and I can feel a difference in the quality just through my energy levels and the results I am getting through proper supplementation. I am also using Emergen-C which for some reason gives me the extra kick I need during the day, and pre-workout. Love it!
- Who do you look up to in the fitness industry?
- Jenn Gregoruk...the girl who encouraged me to start my competing path. She is dynamite both on and off the stage. She is the epitome of focused and has been an invaluable support through both my training and competition. And even better, she's from my hometown and a good friend. I'm blessed.
