Profile Information

What is your REAL story? Do you compete? Do you wish to compete? Are you on a transformation journey? Website??: I have always been skinny. I decided back in March 2006 that I really wanted to change my body. I found a 24 hour gym and made a personal commitment to transform my body. I didn't realize that working out would help me get through a tough period in my life. My marriage ended in divorce and I became a single dad. Weight training really helped me to deal with the stress and pressure that I was feeling. As I began to see my body transform I realized that I could change my life. I believe challenges come into our lives to make us stronger. We don't always understand the reasons why, but we have to trust that God knows what is best for us. Even when the situations and circumstances are negative we have to trust Him. If you want to change your body or your life it's not going to be easy. So, let us all face our challenges head on! Set a goal and go for it! If you fail, get up and try again! Never quit!

I competed in my first competition: INBF 2010 Southern Natural, Saturday, July 24, 2010. I placed 3rd lightweight novice.

Philosophies and Beliefs:: The older I get the more I realize that you need a plan for your life and your body. You need a vision of what you want to achieve and how you're going to get there. I recommend reading, observing, and asking questions from others. Never stop learning and growing.

If you're new to weight training or it's been awhile since you set foot in a gym don't be intimidated by men or women who are more advanced in their development than you. Everyone starts from somewhere. The most important thing is to get started on your transformation.

Words of Advice to REAL competitors and those on REAL transformation journeys:: Transformation doesn't happen in the physical, but in the mind first. The physical changes are just the results of what you believe in your mind and heart. So, whether you're 15, 25 or 40 plus years old you can reach your goal. Just take the time to create a plan for your body, work through the plan consistently, and the transformation that you desire will happen.
