I moved back to Waco in August (Most recently from Plano). I've lived here 5 times in total over the last 23 years, and having traveled all over the world (Both as a military brat and in the USAF) it's as close as I have to a home town. It's relatively cheap to live here, and it's pretty quiet most of the time.

I voluntarily left my job as a corporate restaurant manager in order to live the life that working 60 hours a week wouldn't allow for. It's difficult to motivate yourself to do anything after working 15 hours in a day. the money was great, but there is so much more value in things that the drastic decrease in a paycheck wasn't going to matter much.

I decided in January that I would give myself until my 38th birthday (Next week) to move on and move forward. I want to compete, I want to travel more, I'm writing a book, and I want to see where competing can take me. I'm REALLY glad I found this site because I like the philosophy behind it and would love to become one of the REAL Pro's.
I made it into the 2010 Guinness book of Records, which is awesome - especially since I didn't make it into the '07 or '08 editions. It's a nice thing to have on your resume, as well ;)

On memorial day of this year I decided on a whim that that was the day. I spent 2 months looking for something that would sustain me in Plano, but realized that since I'm not an IT guy and wasn't willing to commute an hour each way to work that I would be better off back here, so here I am.

I'm working in a bar and can pretty much dictate how little or how much I work. I worked 48 hours last week, but it was by my own choice, in order to take off this Saturday for the camp in Houston - and because I leave for Mexico in 15 days! This week I'm only working about 32 hours. Can't do that managing! In fact they tried to promote me last week (one of the managers is leaving in January when she gets married so they wanted me to replace her.) but I declined.

I still had a lease in Plano that I couldn't get out of so I've been paying on that, but paid my last rent on the first and yesterday I moved everything out of my townhouse there back down here, so I don't have to go back and forth every couple of weeks anymore. So that part is over, and I'm ready to start the nest project!

I started a new workout program in August and can already see improvements, and hope to continue at least until I start contest prep in January. I'm looking forward to what Jason has to say, because if I can avoid carb depleting, I will!

I'm looking forward to being in the best shape of my life, developing my all-around physique, finishing (and publishing) my book, and becoming a super-duper famous fitness God! (Ok maybe just super famous ;) )
